I used these for a 6x6 post and beam swing structure... it worked perfectly.. and looks quite professional.. spent 35 years in the recreation business and wish i knew about this 30 years ago.. this brace spreads the torque (while swinging) throughout the brace to both the supporting uprights and the top cross members as opposed to a bolt thru arrangement putting all the stress on the bolts. Additionally these braces alleviate the need to seasonally check the tightness of a thru bolt system.. when lumber dries out and shrinks...

Terrific itemlike the Tojagridbut these are way less pricey.Owner Casey is helpful and responds fast.If you do your homework this is a 5 star product.I thought I did but gave it 4 because of a few probs,but no way intend to dissuade you from purchasing.Heavy duty and will last forever.Costly to ship andwaited way too long to receive these but it was preChristmas Covid times,notfault of Pergola Systems.The 6X6s needed a little shave to fit through even in cold weather.You need to buy your own screws which Casey was helpful in choosing.I love the look of them.Bought 2 L brackets and 1 corner.I used the top holes to install a curtain rod for hottubsurround.L's had centered predrilled holes but corners had 2 predrills so had to drill acenter hole to put up curtain rod.Casey could prob custom drill if asked but I didn't know,Love it!
